Overall impressions: The presence of 2 Oppegard pairs here has really upped the drama level of this competition. A lot of intense gazes and strong arms expressing emotions. Baca and Smith had a very different look. Happy and "innocent" by comparison. A lot of long hair too. Mr. Forbes' curls are headed for his shoulders, Mr. Patrick's hair is practically there. Mr. Martin's is at his collar. The others have more traditional "skateyboy" hair - tidy and short. No strong opinions about this - by the way - just trying to sort of convey the "America Sings Vs Rasputin" flavor of the top teams in this field.

• Graham & Dupzyk - I missed this program
• Baca & Smith - Cirque de Soleil - side by side axels & throw loop. Nice posture on both of these skaters - good extension & line & expression too.
• Barbare & Toth "Romeo & Juliet" - He may have put his hand down on the side by side loops. Throw toe. Footwork was ok. Lift was a little slow.
• Matson & Bevan - "Riverdance" - side by side 2 axels worked, but were out of synch. Side by side spins out of synch. In "look" this team reminded me of Meno & Sand.
• Hartunian & Forbes - "Red Violin"? Twist was huge. She fell on the side by side axels. Throw toe fine. Fast powerful dramatic exciting. Oppegard.
• Mayne & Martin - Took too many pictures to take notes. Fast powerful dramatic exciting. Oppegard.
• Phibbs & Patrick. Huge Twist. Lift had a bit of a rough set down. She fell on side by side axels. Throw toe. Ended after music.

• Drake & Mattern- "Far & Away" Star Lift. Scary back press. 2 twist. Pair spin at end rough. 2 twist. Throw 2 loop. Throw 2 sal. Side by side toes - She fell. He had an error I couldn't quite define - singled? Side by side axel - She fell - he hand down.
• Barbare & Toth - Beautiful 1 handed lift. And a one handed star. Fine twist. Side by side 2 sals - both fell. Throw loop had a problem - popped? Side by side 2 toe-2 toe. Nice "Carruthers Spiral" (Her head in his hand). Kitty Carruthers is coaching.
• Matson & Bevan - Nice twist. Lasso lift. Side by side 2 axel. She 2 footed side by side 3sals. Throw 2 axel. Throw 2 toe. Side by side spins went off and on.
• Phibbs & Patrick. Twist collided. Side by side axels - she fell - he put hand down. Almost missed hands at end of footwork. Pretty adagio lift. Throw 2 sal. Throw 3 toes (hand down).
• Baca & Smith - 2 twist. Side by side 2 axel-2toe. She fell on throw 3 sal. Side by side 2 toes. Side by side axels - he singled. Nice adagio stag lift.
• Mayne & Martin - Huge lift with flip out. 3 twist - collided a bit. Side by side axels - he stepped out. Throw 2 loop. Throw sal? - Combo spin off. Popped loop - toe loop.
• Hartunian & Forbes - "Interview with the Vampire" Soundtrack. I think. - 2 twist. Lift came down early. Side by side 2 axels. Side by side flip-toe. Throw 2 loop. Throw 3 sal.
